Find the ones who are faithful. The ones who continue to stand strong when life falls apart.

It takes a minute. With that client or that job, it takes a minute to find the groove, find the rhythm.

I’ve had this dream for a long time—I can’t shake it, it won’t die. It comes and goes; sometimes it’s big and bright and seems possible, other times it’s small and dim and seems absolutely asinine.

It defied all logic and reason and even the unsolicited wisdom that came my way. After all, who would think it’s a good idea to quit their career with nothing waiting in the wings?

It’s there when I’m irritated. When my family makes me crazy and when work is frustrating and social media makes me judgmental and cynical. 

I first felt it in the back of the sanctuary, in the very last row, during a Sunday night service. First was when I was in high school, and then again in college.

We think of the fruit of the spirit as being something we possess that’s enticing to others—that Paul compared these qualities to fruit to demonstrate their attractiveness to those around us.
